Fischer RC4 60 Junior Ski Boots
The ski boot cuff has the potential to rotate, which can lead to the lock mechanism not functioning correctly. This malfunction poses a risk to the consumer as it could result in a fall, potentially causing injuries.
In addition to the 1,460 units sold in the United States, approximately 114 units were also sold in Canada.
The remedy offered for this issue includes refund, replacement, or repair. The recall was officially announced on April 11, 2024, to address this safety concern.
The recall involves Fischer RC4 50, RC4 60, and RC4 65 Junior Ski Boots ranging in sizes from 21.5 to 27.5. The RC4 50 and RC4 60 were offered in Rhino Grey and Snow colors, while the RC4 65 was available in yellow. Each boot has the brand "Fischer" printed on the lower shell, with the specific model and name displayed on the outer part of the upper cuff, positioned between the top two buckles. The boot size is indicated on the sole of the boot.
Consumers who have purchased these recalled RC4 Junior Ski Boots are advised to discontinue use immediately and contact Fischer Sports for guidance on obtaining a refund, a free replacement, or a free repair.
There has been one reported incident where the ski boot cuff rotated; however, no injuries have been reported. The boots were sold at ski gear stores nationwide and online at https://www.fischersports.com/us_en/ and other websites from October 2022 through February 2024, with prices ranging between $200 and $275.
Fischer Sports US, based in Auburn, New Hampshire, is the manufacturer and importer of these ski boots, which were manufactured in Romania.
The recall number associated with this product is 24-191.
