FSA Gossamer Pro AGX+ Bicycle Crankset

The Gossamer Pro AGX+ cranksets are being recalled because the crank arms have the potential to come loose or detach from the crank/spindle. This issue can lead to accidents, falls, and injuries for the rider.

The recommended remedy for affected customers is to either replace or repair the cranksets to prevent any accidents or injuries.

The recall was announced on April 18, 2024.

Approximately 12,300 units of the Gossamer Pro AGX+ cranksets are affected by this recall. Furthermore, an additional 250 units were sold in Canada, bringing the total number of affected units to about 12,550.

The recall pertains to Full Speed Ahead’s Gossamer Pro AGX+ bicycle cranksets, model CK-6037, which were sold individually and on bicycles from various brands such as Cannondale, Canyon, Marin, Haro, Fuji, and Pinarello gravel brands.

The cranksets can be identified by the etching "FSA Gossamer Pro" on the front of the crankarm, with model and serial numbers located on the back of the crankarm near the pedal threads. Only serial numbers starting with B1, B2, or B3 are included in this recall.

To address the issue, consumers are advised to cease using bicycles with the affected cranksets and contact Full Speed Ahead for guidance on obtaining a new replacement crankset installed by a dealer at no cost.

There have been 277 instances reported where bicycle crankarms have become loose or detached; fortunately, no injuries have been documented.

The products were available for purchase at independent bicycle stores nationwide and online through various bicycle brands like Cannondale, Canyon, Marin, Haro, Fuji, and Pinarello from January 2022 to June 2023. The cost was approximately $190 for the crankarm and ranged between $1,700 and $4,000 for the bicycles.

The importer of the product is Full Speed Ahead Inc., located in Mukilteo, Washington, and the manufacturing took place in Taiwan.
