Green Life Farms Baby Arugula

Green Life Farms is conducting a voluntary recall of a specific lot of its 4-ounce containers of Baby Arugula due to the possible presence of Salmonella contamination. As of now, no cases of illness related to this issue have been reported.

The affected products were sold at certain Publix stores starting from May 31, 2024, and have a sell-by date of June 15, 2024. This recall is specifically for items labeled with Lot #LW15124.

The packaging consists of a 4-ounce transparent plastic container with the lot code imprinted on the lid. The product should also display a sell-by date of June 15, 2024.

The detection of Salmonella in a particular batch of Baby Arugula during routine testing prompted the recall.

Green Life Farms swiftly addressed the situation, and subsequent harvests are unaffected.

Customers who have bought Baby Arugula with the specified lot code are advised to return it to the store where it was purchased to receive a complete refund.

Salmonella

Consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause salmonellosis, one of the most common bacterial foodborne illnesses. The most common symptoms of salmonellosis are diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 6 hours to 6 days after eating the contaminated product. The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Most people recover without treatment. In some people, however, the diarrhea may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized. Older adults, infants, and persons with weakened immune systems are more likely to develop a severe illness. Individuals concerned about an illness should contact their health care provider.
