Bankhead Basic Classic Quilt

Red Land Cotton has issued a recall for their "Quilts" and "Quilted Shams" due to the discovery of broken needles in some of the products, which could potentially cause laceration injuries.

The company is offering customers the options of receiving a refund or having their items replaced.

This recall was announced on April 11, 2024, and affects approximately 17,400 units of the mentioned products.

Customers are advised to stop using the affected items immediately and contact Red Land Cotton for further instructions on how to proceed with the refund or replacement process.

The Classic quilts are available in various colors such as white, natural, ticking stripe, blue, or gray, and are offered in twin, full/queen, and king/California king sizes. The Classic quilted euro shams are available in white, natural, and ticking stripe, while King and Standard shams come in white, natural, blue, gray, and ticking stripe options. Additionally, Baby quilts are offered in white, natural, and charcoal ticking print.

Consumers who have purchased these products are advised to cease using them immediately.

Red Land Cotton is offering a replacement product of equivalent value, a store credit, or a refund via check. Proof of purchase, such as photos of the recalled items, a purchase receipt, or other payment documentation, will be required. The company is proactively reaching out to known customers who bought the affected products.

There have been three reported incidents involving consumers being pricked by a sharp metal needle from the product, with one incident resulting in a skin puncture on a consumer's hand.

The products were sold at Red Land Cotton stores, as well as online on their website and Amazon, between May 2023 and February 2024, priced between $75 and $310.

The manufacturer, Red Land Cotton, is based in Moulton, Alabama, and the items were produced in the United States. The recall number associated with this issue is 24-193.
