This specific tart is packaged in a plastic clamshell container and features a black and white New Seasons Market scale label. All best if used by dates are affected by this recall. The decision to recall the product was prompted after a staff member consumed the tart and experienced a mild allergic reaction, although medical attention was not sought. Upon notification of this incident, the manufacturer confirmed the presence of almond flour in the product, despite almond not being listed in the product specification.

New Seasons Market initiated the recall as the scale label failed to disclose the presence of almonds.
