Mislabeled Abdallah Candies 8oz Sea Salt Almond Alligators

Abdallah Candies, based in Apple Valley, Minnesota, has issued a voluntary recall for a specific batch of Abdallah Candies 8 oz. sea salt almond alligators. The affected products mistakenly bear a chocolate covered cherries label with the code 0315 located at the bottom of the box. Despite being labeled as chocolate covered cherries, the boxes actually contain sea salt almond alligators. This product variant includes almonds as an ingredient, which was not disclosed on the packaging. Individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds are at risk of experiencing severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these items.

The distribution of these mislabeled products was nationwide, with availability in specialty retail stores, grocery stores, and various other retail outlets. The recalled items were sent out between March 1, 2024, and March 29, 2024. The retail packaging consists of candy boxes featuring a label on the bottom providing nutritional and ingredient details. To identify the affected batch, consumers should look for the code 0315 located in a box at the bottom center of the ingredient label.

As of now, there have been no reports of any illnesses related to the consumption of this product. Consumers who have purchased the specified product with the mentioned code are urged not to consume it and are advised to either dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
