Summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The transmission parking wheel may not properly engage with the parking mechanism.
Details
Some 2022 MY Jeep Gladiator vehicles may have been built with a transmission with an improperly crimped parking wheel.
The suspect period began on June 29, 2022, when certain vehicles received suspect transmissions, and ended on July 6, 2022, when the suspect transmissions were quarantined. The suspect period was determined using supplier traceability and vehicle production records.
Similar vehicles not included in the recall did not receive suspect transmissions or were repaired prior to release from plant control.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the transmission, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 14, 2022. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA, LLC's number for this recall is Z84.
