Forias Waterproof Pack and Play Mattress
The Forias Pack and Play Mattresses have been recalled due to safety concerns. The hazard associated with this product includes non-compliance with safety standards for crib mattresses. Specifically, the mattress failed the thickness test and lacks necessary warnings and labels, making it unsafe for infants and posing a suffocation risk.
As a remedy, consumers are advised to seek a refund for the product. The recall was initiated on March 28, 2024, affecting approximately 1,900 units of the Forias Pack and Play Mattresses.
The recall involves Forias pack and play mattresses, which are portable memory foam play yard mattresses measuring approximately 38 inches in length and 26 inches in width. The mattresses have tags on the bottom of the cover and a stitched tag displaying the brand name "Forias".
Consumers are advised to discontinue use of the recalled pack and play mattresses and dispose of them by cutting them in half. A photo of the destroyed mattress should be sent to customer.care@forias.com to receive a full refund.
Amazon and Forias Direct are reaching out to all known purchasers directly to address the issue.
There have been no reported incidents or injuries associated with this recall.
The product was exclusively sold on Amazon.com from May 2023 through August 2023 for approximately $36. Forias Direct, the retailer, is based in China, and the mattresses were manufactured in China as well.
The recall number for this specific issue is 24-742.
