Happiness USA Roller Ball Candy

The Happiness USA Liquid Rolling Candy is being recalled due to a safety hazard. The rolling ball of the candy can detach from the product, which poses a serious risk as it could become a choking hazard for children, potentially leading to a fatal outcome. As a precautionary measure, consumers are advised to return the product for a refund. The recall was initiated on March 21, 2024, affecting approximately 290,000 units of the candy.

This recall has been issued for Happiness USA liquid rolling candy in all flavors. The candy comes in blue raspberry, strawberry, and green apple flavors, with about one fluid ounce of liquid candy. Each candy has a rolling ball applicator to apply the flavored liquid candy onto the tongue. The bottle has a resealable twist-on plastic cap with “Funtime Roller Ball Candy” on the front and "Happiness USA" branding and warning labels on the back.

Consumers should stop using the candy, keep it away from children, and contact Twenty Four Six Foods for a refund. The company is reaching out to known buyers directly.

There was one incident reported where a seven-year-old child choked in New Jersey in July 2023 when the rolling ball detached. The child had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the ball from his throat.

The candy was sold at kosher markets nationwide from January 2018 to July 2023 for around $2. It is imported by Twenty Four Six Foods LLC of Brooklyn, New York, and manufactured in China.
