The recall was initiated on May 23, 2024, affecting approximately 340 units of the product.

The recall involves TOPINCN 1.5-inch and 3-inch round pool drain covers designed for swimming pools. The 1.5-inch drain cover has an outer diameter of about 4 inches and an inner diameter of 2 inches. The 3-inch drain cover measures approximately 5 inches in outer diameter and 3 inches in inner diameter. These covers are white and made of plastic.

To address this issue, pool owners and consumers are advised to cease using pools with the affected drain covers immediately. They should remove the drain cover from the pool, capture a photograph of it, and then send the image to the recalling firm via email at sanure710@126.com to receive a full refund. It is crucial to ensure that all pools and spas comply with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA) by having compliant drain covers. Additionally, educating children to stay away from drains is recommended. Sanure is reaching out directly to all purchasers of the recalled product.

Fortunately, there have been no reported incidents or injuries related to this recall.

The drain covers were exclusively sold online at www.amazon.com between September 2022 and March 2024, priced between $9 and $32. The importer of these products is Dong Guan Shi Li Peng Zhi Dian Zi Shang Wu You Xian Gong Si, operating as Sanure Storefront, based in China. The recalled drain covers were manufactured in China.
