The recall was announced on June 13, 2024, and affects approximately 19,500 units of the Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kits. Customers who have purchased this product are encouraged to return it to the point of purchase for a full refund. This action aims to prevent any potential accidents or harm that may result from the identified hazard.

The Lomi Roll-On Waxing Kit with Wax Cartridge & Wax Strips, identified by the model number LOMB2003PK, is being recalled. The kit includes a handheld wax warmer, a wax cartridge, wax strips, a power cord, and a user’s manual. The white and pink wax warmer features the Lomi logo on the front and product packaging. The Lomi logo and model number can be found on the bottom of the wax warmer. Consumers are advised to discontinue use of the product immediately and reach out to Southern Telecom for a full refund. To process the refund, consumers need to mark the wax warmer as "Recalled," disconnect the power cord, cut it, and provide a photo to Southern Telecom.

The recall was initiated due to two incidents of the power cord overheating and/or short-circuiting, resulting in burns to two individuals and property damage in one case.

The product was sold at Ross, DD's, Bealls, and Burlington stores nationwide between April 2023 and October 2023, priced at approximately $13. Southern Telecom Inc., based in New York, is the importer of the product, which was manufactured in China.
