Touchat Large Fuzzy Area Rug
The Touchat Large Fuzzy Area Rugs have been recalled due to non-compliance with mandatory federal flammability regulations for carpets and rugs. This violation poses a significant fire hazard in households where these rugs are used.
As a remedy, consumers are advised to return the product and receive a refund for their purchase.
The recall was issued on April 11, 2024, affecting approximately 356 units of the Touchat Large Fuzzy Area Rugs.
Touchat Large Fuzzy Area Rugs, subject to this recall, are rectangular gray rugs measuring 8 feet x 10 feet. The rugs have a label on the underside indicating they are made of "100% Polyester" and manufactured in China.
Consumers who have purchased these rugs are advised to discontinue their use immediately and reach out to Touchat to receive a full refund. To complete the refund process, customers will be required to cut the rug in half and submit a photo of the cut product to jurysun@outlook.com as proof of destruction.
Touchat is proactively reaching out to all known buyers.
Fortunately, there have been no reported incidents or injuries related to these rugs.
The recalled products were available for purchase on Amazon.com between October 2023 and November 2023, priced between $80 and $113.
The retailer responsible for these rugs is Jian De Shi Jia Jin Chu Kou You Xian Gong Si, also known as Touchat, based in China.
The recall number associated with this product is 24-195.
