The Berkley Jensen Citronella 72-inch Tiki Torches sold at BJ's Wholesale Club are being recalled. These torches are available in two sizes: five inches wide and 72 inches high or six inches wide and 72 inches high mounted on a wrought iron stake. The torches come with copper-plated, nickel-plated, black, or gray torch tops and are equipped with a fiberglass wick.
Consumers who have purchased these tiki torches are advised to stop using them immediately. They should reach out to BJ's Wholesale Club for a complete refund. It is recommended to either destroy and dispose of the tiki torches (ensuring the fuel reservoir is empty) or return them to BJ's Wholesale Club to receive a refund.
There have been nine reported incidents of the tiki torch tops breaking open or detaching, leading to two cases of burn injuries.
These torches were exclusively sold at BJ's Wholesale Club outlets nationwide and on their website from January 2015 through November 2023, priced around $13. The distributor of these torches is BJ's Wholesale Club, located in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The products were manufactured in India.
This recall is identified by the number 24-177.
