Recalled Pinwheel

The toy pinwheels have been identified to have a safety hazard where the fastener cap can become loose and separate from the toy, potentially causing a choking risk for small children who might put it in their mouths.

As a precautionary measure, it is advised to safely dispose of the affected pinwheels.

The recall was announced on May 9, 2024, and approximately 8,500 units are estimated to be part of this recall.

This recall pertains to plastic toy pinwheels that were distributed as promotional items for free at Cotton On stores. The pinwheels are vibrant and feature the words "KIDS" and "COTTON ON" in white lettering. Consumers are advised to cease using the pinwheels immediately and discard them.

Since the items were provided at no cost, there will be no reimbursement or replacement offered.

There has been one incident reported where a child swallowed a loose fastener cap.

The pinwheels were distributed as promotional items at Cotton On Kids Stores in various locations including Scottsdale, Arizona; Christiana, Delaware; Willowbrook, Texas; Florida Mall, Orlando, Florida; Cool Springs, Tennessee; and Mall of Louisiana, Franklin, Louisiana, between April 2023 and January 2024. Cotton On USA Inc., based in La Mirada, California, imported the pinwheels from China.

The recall number is 24-227.
